Anime Expo 2011 + Vegas Independence Day!

Thursday, June 30, 2011

To start off my post, I want you to listen to this!

It's freaking AWESOME. X-Japan Scars
I especially love this version because of the progressive bass in the beginning. It sounds evil and psychedelic.

This might be a short notice, but I will be participating in Anime Expo this year for a Fashion Show presented by Tune in Tokyo at the Club Nokia on July 2, Saturday. If you already have a AX Badge its free to get in. If not, you can buy the dance only attendee for $25 1 day pass to attend to the event. see pricing.

Special Thanks to Mandie one of the coordinators that made it happen for me.

For more detail see this.....

To tell you the truth, I wasn't really planning to go since I know how AX can cost alot of money and waiting in line after line... it will drive me nuts. But since I'm in the fashion show it makes it alot easier to digest. Plus it's been a long time that I have been in a fashion show, so I feel very honored that Tune in Tokyo have invited me in this year. I hope we will have future events like these that I can get involved in because I have some pretty crazy ideas. muhaahah......

Oh yeah! About the fashion show! We will be in Vocaloid-inspired fashion show sponsored by Q-Pop, featuring Japanese labels Sexpot Revenge, Algonquins, & Super Lovers.

Here is something Vocaloid does... pretty awesome performance. They will also be having a concert on
Saturday, July 2. But before I knew about it, the tickets are sold out... =( But enjoy this!

SEXED outfits. Okay maybe not like this... so sexed out and hot looking... hahaha....
Though I might need to workout mighty hard to get those kinds of flat abs. LOL.

Lots of HOT and FUN pictures will be posted soon!

After the show, my friends and I will be heading out to VEGAS! To celebrate for everything and anything. Well maybe for Independence Day. But also to visit my friends James and Rowie from vegas. Rowie is also a blogger as well, a very cute one. She is so cute everyone want to become her, literally... LOL She has the whole scoop on that topic in her blog check her out.

What better way to celebrate Independence Day....

Japan Trip -Tokyo [Pic Spam] Part 2

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

As promised I'm posting up pictures from my Japan trip back in 2009. It is always quite fun to look back and remember the memories I had. I enjoyed most was the people I traveled with. The group consist of 14 people and we were all new to the country. With no tour guide or experience we basically travel together across Japan.

Hello kitty...

Another touristy spot with Ginger...please excuse my fashion sense back then.

This is the coolest invention ever! This is actually an order machine you press which food you want and a piece of paper dispenses out. Then you take a seat and give the piece of paper to the person working in the restaurant. I really love this invention because I always take forever to order and I don't like the feeling of having the waitress wait for me.

Inside above Tokyo Tower... in my opinion you can skip this touristy spot.

PIKACHU!!!! He's huge!

Another tourist spot. Condomania... some of the most crazy and kinky stuff in that store.

Cold Noodles Ramen

Miso Ramen

Look at that steam... soo good in Shibuya

At random.... I don't know what is this can someone tell me what they are doing?

I'm sold, you had me with the duck.

Boots heaven for MEN. I just wish they had this in U.S.

I think this was in Shibuya 109. If anyone has never been there, its like a fashion shopping mall but 10 times better!

In Shibuya, rotating belt sushi.... its so cheap there 100 yen per plate. Everything is so fresh and well prepared. Also the most amazing part is in this picture you see a knob where the orange juice is, well it actually dispense out HOT WATER so you can have your hot tea while eating sushi. I'm astonished!

Random snaps....

They had a sewing store... love all the new portable sewing machine.

Went shopping and finally met up with my friends.. loads of goodies bought.

After Tokyo, we took the train to our next destination. We were so exhausted and sleepy because we were on a schedule to hit all the places.. snap shot of my friend.

Our group filled up the whole bus...

We were waiting to get on the ferry to see Mt. Fuji. The boat is at the palm of my hands.

Kissing duck.

Getting on to the ferry.

Argh... pirate.

Dessert never look so delicious...

My cousin that made this trip happen.

Silly...

Here,  you can start drinking at 18 years old.

Tap beer taste so good and I love the character.

After a few drinks, I think Ginger has lost it... Shrimp Beer?

We were eating, a Japanese guy started to talk to us in English. It's quite an interesting conversation since his English was kinda limited but we understood each other. He was so nice too, helping us order and we asked a whole bunch of question of how to get around the area.

While everyone was sound asleep, Ginger and I sneaked out and wander around the streets. We saw this pizza place and wanted to try how pizza taste in Japan.

Damn good and buttery....

The whole gang together.

After days of sightseeing, I'm so exhausted.

My friend the organizer that planned out the whole trip. Thanks Jonathon!

Nice car, girl driven.

wiped out...

Frozen Slurpee taste so good when its a giant cup.

Japan Trip [Part 3] coming soon...

Japan Trip [Pic Spam] Part 1

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

It's 3 am in the morning and I am up! Juiced up to tell you about my past trips. Since I have a certain request by one of my readers I decided to post up my past trip to Japan. I haven't been active on my post so I decided to blow you some awesome pictures I took from Japan and share my experience to my readers.

It was actually back in summer of 2009, but I could remember like it was last week... Who doesn't love Japan? I think everyone does! The people, food, anime, music, fashion, nightlife. The city that never sleeps. I for one would take another trip there in a heartbeat. My first trip to Japan was the most memorable one, it was the first time I hit the travel bug and really explore to a new place. My mind completely opens and my viewpoints change because of that. I think I am most surprise at how generous the people there in Japan than anything. They are also very proud of their country and honor is highly respected in Japan. I think I could go and on about Japan if I wanted to, but I think I'll let the pictures do the talking. =)

It was pretty crazy, we wanted to explore Tokyo on our own so once we landed, we were on our own. Our initial plan was to meet with my cousin and her gang of friends later so we can travel together in Japan. We did not know anyone in Japan, nor speak the language. All we had was guts to ask everyone how and where to get to get to one place to another. Also with all the maps and research that we did prior to the trip.

Our first Ramen in Japan. I remember very vividly where it was... The little Ramen stand was in the middle of nowhere... under the freeway, seating for only about 2-3 people. It look something like this..
Taken from Flickr
A little shack and boiling hot ramen, welcomes me to Japan. It was kind of awkward since we had an language barrier. But we just did some universal sign language and got ourselves some ramen. Since he only know how to speak Japanese and we are just hopeless with the language since it was our first arrival. He did manage to say "Welcome to Japan" in English. He knew we were fresh off the plane hence the luggage we were carrying and the lost expression on our faces. After we finish his delicious ramen he gave us an hard boiled egg as another extra bonus of our welcoming to Japan. From then on, we started meeting more and more great and generous people in Japan.

Our first encounter in Tokyo was all these claw machines... they are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

CHOPPER! I'm a big fan of One Piece...

If you watch One Piece... Yes.. you know what I'm talking about.

I love their convenience stores.. opens 24hr and well stock with yummy Japanese food.

"Hi I am the SoftBank dog... please buy my cellphones."

cute crosswalk telling you to stay there while you wait for the green man.

fruits and vegetables look mighty tasty when their displayed like this...

A random street with shopping stores...

If you guys think Round 1 was cool, take a look at this Claw Heaven!!!

More claw machines outside the stores...

Ginger with poochi... if you really look closer, its not real.

Yummy desserts..

I remember seeing a tornado potato food truck last Artwalk... well sorry to say it's been so over played. Japan got it there first.. it was so yummy!

SO COOL... you wonder why Japanese people always carry cellphone charms on their phones? Because they have these awesome cute coin machine to dispense everywhere. Who can resist?

Went to Akihabara aka Electric town, famous for their computer, anime, otaku goods and new used items. We stop by into a electronic store. Looking at all on the new models of laptops.

Can you guess what this is?

Their refrigerators!!! Efficiently design and compact.

Even their clothes iron looks like space ships. so awesome!

Gags, Toys and Keychain Charms.

Yes here's one picture of Ginger and I in Japan. We were really tired. But I'm having fun!

presentation is very important while serving your food.

Dominoes on a scooter?

Pass by Tokyo Nissan, I'm a fan of some of their cars.

Is this cool or what?

This may look like everything is ON SALE, but really this is how they display their prices. In a very small everything store.

riding on the train is quite different in Japan. If you look closer on the floor.. people wait in a single file line. They wait until everyone leaves then enters after.I find it very interesting how this system works and how they follow by these rules. No one is scattered everywhere like Beijing.

another day, we wander around the streets and saw a bunch of girls waiting in lines to get into an convention.

As I recall, it was a famous Japanese Fashion Show that happens once a year. All these Gyaru girls were waiting in line to get in.

Also on the same day, we wander into a Brasil Festival. Those pineapple look mighty tasty...

Ginger went to look at some suits...

And I went to look at some gowns...

A very strange museum Tobacco and Salt Museum.

We got yelled at for taking this picture... but this was a boot heaven... so many different kind of style of boots.

biker gang...

house curry at a random restaurant

At that time, Forever 21 just open in Tokyo. There were a million girls lining up to get into the store.

They make cake so tasty...

shopping at Harajuku...

Liz Lisa Store... so sad, there were so many clothes to choose from I didn't know what to buy.

I whine up not buying anything cause I couldn't choose...!?!

The biggest Takoyaki I ever seen!!!

A shop in Harajuku, called Takenoko. With all the pretty cosplay costumes and glamorous outfits.

There were too many pictures, so I'll split into different parts. Enjoy!
